Trent Herbert
Trent Herbert
Trent Herbert is a preacher, and church planter. He has been involved in ministry for over 25 years. He is a graduate of Sunset International Bible Institute where he received the Kerux award for gospel preaching. Trent along with a team planted a church in 2019 in west Seattle, WA. He is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have seven children. Their oldest Elizabeth and her husband Fuzzy are involved in ministry and their son Tristan is currently studying at SIBI. Levi (19) is his brothers’ biggest supporter.
Hannah and Elijah are involved with the youth group and Jedidah and Obidiah are bringing up the rear. Trent is currently the pulpit preacher for the Port Orchard Church of Christ in Port Orchard, WA. He is involved with a homeless program called Mercy Mobile that goes out to the homeless and feeds them both physically and spiritually.
Many have been able to get off the streets into housing and a few have come to know God and are now members of His Kingdom. He has a heart for the lost in this world and for the Lords Church. His mission is to fan the flame of evangelism here in the northwest and to seek, save, and disciple.
Bro Nathaniel E Whitlock Sr
Bro. Nathaniel Whitlock’s journey to Christ began after relocating to the Seattle area shortly after meeting his wife Tina Ratliff-Whitlock who introduced him to the church of Christ. He surrendered his life to the Lord in baptism on May 25, 1990 at the Southside Church of Christ in Seattle, Washington, and his spiritual journey in Christ has been a continuous process of spiritual growth, maturity, and service to Christ.
Over the last 34 years Bro. Whitlock joyfully served in many different ministerial roles in and around the church. As a home gown product of the Southside Church of Christ, Bro. Whitlock was ordained as a Minister on December 17, 2017, and served the Southside congregation as Associate Minister for 5 and a half years. He is currently serving as minister of the Madison Park church of Christ since May 14, 2023.
Bro. Whitlock is a continuous active student of the Word of God. He has studied at the Seattle Bible Institute (SBI) a satellite bible school of Sunset International Bible Institute, of which he is an SBI instructor. Certificated in marriage counseling with PREPARE and ENRICH, and SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts), and attends spiritual development conferences yearly such as, the Brotherhood of Men Conference, National Lectureships, West Coast Preachers and Leaders Forum and FaithBuilders.
Nathaniel firmly believes that serving others through effective ministry is part of God’s divine design, of which he strives to follow the example of the humble, faithful, servant leader Christ Jesus.
Nathaniel and Tina were married in 1991 and together they have two children, son Nathaniel Jr. (Nicole), daughter Johawna, and two grandchildren, Jordan, and Nathaniel III.
Darrius Woods
Darrius Woods Senior Minister joined the Cloverland staff in 2015. Served as the Assistant Minister before becoming the Senior Minister in 2020. Darrius served as the Community Outreach Minister for the Fidelity church of Christ in Houston, Texas and as a College Intern Minister at the Westbury church of Christ, also in Houston, Texas. Darrius has a B.A in Biblical Studies from the Sunset International Bible Institute, and a Associates in Religion and B.A in Psychology (Christian Counseling) from Liberty University.
Darrius has done mission work in various parts of Brazil and domestic (New Mexico, and Texas).
Darrius and his wife Brandi have been married since 2011. They have a son named Quarion and a daughter named Sarai. Darrius also enjoys running, reading, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, but his greatest fulfillment in life is helping people embrace the hope of Jesus Christ.
Mark Teske
Mark and his wife Michele have been married since 1989. Mark’s career began in accounting, working as a CPA with a large accounting firm, a for-profit hospital corporation, and the University of Alabama Health System.
The family then decided on a career change and went to Texas for preaching school at the Brown Trail School of Preaching. Two years of intense study were amplified by friendships that would last a lifetime.
Since graduation from Brown Trail in 2003, Mark has labored full-time in the kingdom. He worked for 2 ½ years in Glasgow, Kentucky as the Associate Minister for the South Green Street congregation. He then returned to Brown Trail for 7 years as the Executive Director of the Truth in Love Television Program. While working with the television program, Mark preached with congregations in Ponder and Hewitt, TX on Sundays. Back at Brown Trail, Michele coordinated the wives’ program at the School of Preaching and was the speaker at many ladies’ days.
In April 2012, Mark started working full-time with the Gospel Broadcasting Network and served as the Director of Operations and Programming until April 2019. Many of his programs continue to air on the network.
Mark is now the Host and Producer of the Good News Today television program that is overseen by the eldership of the Dunlap church of Christ in Dunlap, TN. Good News Today is a syndicated television program that broadcasts in 31 television and 13 radio markets in the US. Mark served as an elder for the Southaven congregation from 2017-2021. He teaches some Bible classes and helps in the pulpit at Southaven from time to time. Mark is an adjunct instructor for the Somerset West School of Preaching – West located in Vredenberg, South Africa.
Michele is an RN and works as a floor nurse at a nearby hospital. She obtained her nursing degree at the University of Alabama, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Monica, the oldest, has a master’s degree in forensic accounting from Florida Atlantic University and works as a bank officer in the Internal Audit Department for Community Bank in Brandon, Mississippi.
Meagan, the second child, is married to Michael Clarke and they are blessed to be the caretakers of the most wonderful grandchildren in the world – Adam (11/2017) & Audie Lynn (3/2022) Clarke. Michael works with the Memphis School of Preaching and Meagan is an RN who works as a head nurse in a nearby hospital.
Marcus, the middle child, graduated from both the Brown Trail School of Preaching and Mississippi State University. He works for the Department of Defense out of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL where he tests rockets used by the US Army.
Marissa, the youngest daughter is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Forensic Science and she works at the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Matthew, the baby of the family, has a degree from Northwest Mississippi Community College. He lives in Branson, Missouri, and is a freelance videographer and video producer.
Darren Williamson
Dr. Darren Williamson is the founding Director of the Northwest School of Discipleship based at Southwest Church of Christ in Tigard, Oregon. Darren is a native of the Pacific Northwest who has served in ministry for over thirty years, working with congregations in Oregon (Portland, Keizer, and Tigard), British Columbia, and Texas. He has taught for twenty-six years as an instructor at several Christian Universities and community colleges, including Cascade College. Darren serves as the Board Chair of Leadership Training for Christ Northwest and is a member of the Northwest Ministry Fund Board. He holds advanced degrees in Biblical Studies and History and is fascinated and inspired by followers of Christ throughout history, especially the sixteenth-century Reformation. Over the years Darren has published a handful of articles on Church History, but his most recent interest has turned to more practical themes of discipleship. Darren is the author of the Family Worship Guide: A Handbook for the Christian Home (2020) which inspires and equips parents to disciple their children through regular family worship in the home. Most importantly, he is striving personally to grow as a disciple of Jesus. He and his wife Melody have eight children and live on a little farm outside Salem, Oregon.
Jeff A Jenkins
Jeff A. Jenkins grew up in a preacher’s family in the state of Alabama. He has been preaching for more than forty-five years. He married the former Laura Colley in 1981. Laura passed away in June, 2019. Jeff has two children Amanda, who is married to Drew Scott, and Jeremy. He is currently enjoying his three grandchildren.
Jeff holds degrees from Faulkner University (AA – 1979), Freed Hardeman University (BA – 1981), and has done post-graduate work at Southern Christian University as well as Emory University.
Jeff has served as the preacher for the Midway church of Christ in Moulton, Alabama (1981-1984), University church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama (1984-1994), and North MacAr-thur church of Christ in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (1994-2004). He preached for the Lewis-ville church of Christ from July, 2004 – October, 2021. Jeff currently works full-time with The Jenkins Institute.
He serves on the Board of Trustees at Freed Hardeman University, the Lads-2-Leader’s Board, the Board of Directors for World Bible School, the advisory board for The International Gos-pel Hour, and the Advisory Board for Brotherhoodnews.com.
Jeff preaches annually in a number of Gospel meetings, Family seminars, Leadership semi-nars, lectureships and other special events. He has written for Gospel Advocate Magazine, Spiritual Sword Magazine, Twenty-First Century Bible Study Guide, Power for Today, the En-trusting Word and Forthright E-Magazine.

Chris McCurley
Chris McCurley is the Preaching Minister for the Walnut Street Church of Christ in Dickson, TN. Chris began in ministry at the North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville, AR as a Youth Minister. After that, he spent 4 years as the Preaching Minister for the Mill Street Church of Christ in Cassville, MO. Prior to ministry, Chris was a teacher and head basketball and baseball coach in the Cord-Charlotte School system for 4 years.
Chris is married to Libby. They have 3 wonderful children: Keely (26), Zoe (23) and Zane (22). Both Chris and Libby grew up in Paragould, AR where their families still reside.
Chris is editor and co-author of the books Fit for the Pulpit: The Preacher & His Challenges and Preach Better: 10 Ways to Communicate the Gospel More Effectively. He has also edited the books Girl, We Need to Talk: The Minister’s Wife & Her Struggles and Rest in Green Pastures, a book on shepherds in the Lord’s Church. He also hosts a podcast entitled Dear Church that airs on Facebook, YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Chris serves as treasurer of the board for the Red River Family Encampment. In addition, he hosts Cross Talk—a weekly television program that airs on Dickson’s local access channel.
In his spare time, Chris spends his time fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.
Tresvan Oneal
Tresvan O’Neal, a 3rd generation church of Christ member, has served as a minister and deacon with the Churches of Christ for 15 years. He became a minister in the official capacity in 2016 serving as minister of the Tacoma Church of Christ in Tacoma, Washington. The mission of the Tacoma Church of Christ is to “Reach, Teach, and Empower” having its roots in Matthew 28:19-20.
He received his master’s degree in Ministry Leadership from Amridge University in Montgomery Alabama. Secularly has been working in IT for over 30 years.
Before starting his ministry Tresvan worked and labored as the education lead, community outreach coordinator, backup minister, and deacon for the Southside Church of Christ, Seattle for 20 years.
Tresvan and his loving wife Nicole are the parents of four children (Aleesia, Armani, Ayanna, Xxavier), 3 of which are grown. They are a few years away from becoming empty nesters.
John Baker
John Baker has preached for the Katy church of Christ in Katy, Texas since 2014. He and his wife Angie have two teenage children: Daniel and Abby. John has been in full-time ministry since 2001. He previously has worked with congregations in Bossier City, Louisiana and Edgewood, Texas, and he and his family also worked as missionaries in Tanzania, East Africa for two years (2007-2009). John is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the Brown Trail School of Preaching in Fort Worth, Texas.
Kerry Williams
Kerry Williams serves as the Pulpit Minister for the West Main Church of Christ in Tupelo, Mississippi, and the Director of the Tahoe Family Encampment. He has preached for 30 years. Kerry also serves as the Dean for the Graduate School of Sunset International Bible Institute and has taught for both public and private colleges. He has a PhD and a Master’s Degree from Arkansas State University and a Master’s Degree from Lubbock Christian University. He and his wife Lenora have been married for 30 years, and have three children and two grandchildren. He is the author of seven books.
Mark McLean
Mark McLean
Mark McLean has recently retired after 38 years of ministry in four churches of Christ. He holds a B.A. from Harding U., a M.Th. from Harding School of Theology, and an Ed.D. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He continues to do "fill-in" preaching, mentoring, and teaches occasional college courses as an adjunct. His areas of expertise are in the fields of Christian Leadership and Church Growth.
Sherril Weiss

Sherril loves the Lord! She is a preacher's wife, "mom of many," and educates her children at home. Before becoming a full-time minister, her husband served over 20 years in the Air Force with Sherril by his side. They ministered in the body in Iceland, Germany, and Japan. Sherril has known both trauma and loss, yet chooses to share what she has learned to help other women learn to surf the waves caused by the storms of life and share the waves of hope from God’s word.
Levi Sisemore

Levi is an instructor at The Texas Normal Singing School (TNSS). He first came to TNSS as a student in 2001 from Barnaul, Russia, where his family served as missionaries. In 2006 he joined the teaching faculty and administration at TNSS.
Levi has preached, led worship, conducted congregational music workshops, worship leader clinics, and served as a worship consultant at over 100 congregations, lectureships, events, camps, or schools – from Washington to Florida.
In addition to teaching at TNSS, Levi has taught singing schools at Music Camp (Washington), White River Youth Camp (Texas), and the Western Oklahoma School of Music.
Levi graduated from the Sunset International Bible Institute with an undergraduate degree in Bible and Ministry; later he added an advanced degree in Missiology and a master’s degree in Biblical and Ministry Studies.
He is currently pursuing the Doctor of Worship Studies program at the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies.
Levi, his wife Sara (whom he met at TNSS in 2001), and their two sons make their home in Texas, where he has preached full-time for the City Park church of Christ in Floydada (2007-2014) and for the 37th Street church of Christ in Snyder (2014-2017).
He is currently Minister of Worship and Involvement for the church in Fredericksburg.
